MAGIC Grant
Community Main Street (CMS) is pleased to offer the MAGIC grant (Marketing Assistance Grant for Inspiring Commerce). This grant is designed to support local businesses and organizations in the Cedar Falls Downtown District in Cedar Falls, Iowa by providing financial assistance for strategic marketing initiatives.
The MAGIC grant offers recipients up to $5,000 in 1:1 matching contributions for marketing initiatives that support local businesses and organizations in downtown Cedar Falls, Iowa. The grant is offered up to twice a year, and a total of $5,000 per cycle in 1:1 matching funds may be awarded to one applicant or split between several.
The MAGIC grant focuses on funding marketing initiatives that attract more visitors and stimulate economic growth within the Cedar Falls downtown area. Eligible applicants must submit a comprehensive marketing plan outlining their proposed initiatives, per the guidelines outlined in this document.
Through this grant, CMS aims to help:
- Support local businesses and organizations with marketing funds
- Attract more customers to downtown establishments
- Enhance the visibility and branding of the Cedar Falls downtown community
- Stimulate economic growth and sustainability
- Underscore the unique historic charm and liveliness of the area
Overall, CMS seeks to strengthen the downtown community, promote local pride, and improve the overall quality of life for residents and visitors through all of its support mechanisms, of which the MAGIC Grant is one such offering.

2. Complete an Application Form.
3. Email your completed Application Form to director@communitymainstreet.org by the end of the day on July 31st, 2024.

Applicants will be notified of a decision via email in September 2024. Applicants awarded a grant will be required to sign a grant agreement within two weeks after the decision notification to accept the award.
