| Join in the Excitement of Downtown Cedar Falls Cedar Falls Community Main Street has long welcomed — and depended on — the participation of many, many individuals and businesses to help make downtown the heart of the community. And it’s clear that those efforts are paying off — downtown is thriving, with a diverse array of shopping, entertainment, dining, cultural activities and professional services. It’s also clear that the community spirit is alive and well throughout Cedar Falls.
Become a Friend of Main Street In response to this interest, Cedar Falls Community Main Street has implemented the Friends of Main Street Program. This program offers individuals throughout the Cedar Falls area the opportunity to help spread the excitement of downtown, while gaining access to a host of Community Main Street services and informational resources.
As a Friend of Main Street, you’ll be part of the continued economic development efforts for downtown. You will also be helping support a rich array of family-centered activities that have become the hallmark of Cedar Falls Community Main Street’s events programming over the past decade. These include: - ARTapalooza
- Movies Under the Moon
- Halloween on Main
- Jingle & Mingle on Main

Volunteers are Welcome!
Volunteers have been a key element in our successful Main Street program. In fact, each year, community-minded volunteers from throughout Cedar Falls contribute thousands of hours. So, even if you are not ready to join the Friends program at this time, there are still plenty of ways to get involved in downtown Cedar Falls. You can join one of our four standing committees, or simply volunteer to lend a hand with one of a host of exciting annual activities. Call 277-0213 for more information. |
